Here is some of our feedback from the Carnegie Report.
"Cleeve Meadow has presented a detailed profile of evidence that demonstrates they are Embracing across all eight competencies of the School Mental Health Award. The school has used the framework and content of the Award to very good effect to develop their mental health and wellbeing strategies, structures, and practices including;
“Bespoken Theatre”, a MH Theatre company that explores MH and well-being within education works closely with Cleeve Meadow School and has designed a MH programme running theatre workshops with the students. “Compassion In Crisis” workshops - in relation to the Covid pandemic - were designed to explore the impact of life-changing events on MH
The company looks to history to explore with students how people cope with trauma and how they manage to recover and gain resilience through compassion, empathy and looking out for each other.
These performances have also allowed students to explore how previous generations coped during tragic events such as the Blitz in World War II.
Bespoken Theatre hopes to contribute to a publication published by The Baring Foundation later this year which looks at MH and resilience and this may include the involvement of Cleeve Meadow’s students."
We at Bespoken are delighted to contribute to Cleeve Meadow's success. We look forward to more collaborations in the future.!
